Staying true to our namesake “Entheo”, and paying homage to entheogens found naturally in the wild, we are proud to offer this “shroom” chocolate made with one of the most valued medicinal mushrooms we have found. Reishi mushroom is the superstar of this formula, and for a good reason! Reishi is known in Chinese medicine as the Queen of Mushrooms. Reishi has long been recognized as a “supreme protector,” and is now acknowledged as a profound immune tonic, supporting the many functions of the amazingly intricate human immune system. Reishi supports the normal detoxification functions of the liver. Red Reishi, the variety most commonly studied, contains over 900 bioactive constituents. Reishi supports healthy aging and is currently being studied for even more benefits.
Unlike most, we use a potent fruiting body extract of reishi, instead of widely used mycelium. Fruiting body is the actual mushroom, and mycelium is essentially the root system. Mycelium products contain the grain it’s grown on indoors, usually rice, so it is not 100% pure. Our certified organic extract is grown on logs outdoors, simulating nature and is extracted using alcohol and water to get the most out of this precious resource.
In addition to Reishi, we add in one of our all time favorite adaptogens- Shilajit. Shilajit, is 100% Shi-LEGIT because it’s known in Ayurveda as “the destroyer of weakness”. Shilajit is a natural mineral resin, that exudes from cracks in the Himalayan Mountains. Over centuries, plants and other elements decompose and are pressurized from natural mountainous changes to create Shilajit. Think of it as Mountain Hash, or nature’s full spectrum hash extract.
Our shilajit is a patented version called PrimaVie, and is being clinically studied for its benefits. Shilajit contains fulvic acid, trace minerals, and other beneficial compounds that are showing extremely promising uses. We have been using shilajit it for over 5 years, and found it works in harmony with cannabis to decrease our tolerance while boosting potency of consumed cannabis. *
